I continued to develop my character using tracing paper to take a rough sketch and turn it into a more polished character design. I found problems with the B pencil I was using as I kept needing to sharpen it so I changed to a H pencil.

I began to design my hero character starting off with sketches in my sketch book as ideas.

I used tracing paper to turn the rough sketches into a more developed looking character. I eventually had a character called Rick whose colour scheme is blue and he wears a cape and gloves along with other clothing.

I changed my villain character name to Frost and the element to ice. This was because my character was too similar to the character I was using as inspiration. I then decided that the character looked more like a fire type after hearing feedback from people I had shown him to. I again changed the logo design on the characters costume to a flame and changed the colour scheme to warm colours such as orange, red and yellow. I changed the name to Blaze.

I took a few Teen Titans clips and decreased the speed so I could see the video frame by frame. I used this as reference to my animation. I used tracing paper to draw out the structure of the characters in action. I concentrated on one character at a time, mainly Blaze at first since his actions were a lot harder to work

I went over the structures of the character to add in slight detail such as expressions and clothing to add more depth to the characters. The tracing paper acted as a guide so that the clothes looked the same in each frame.

I continued to work on character designs and the animatic.
