Steven M. Seibert oversees FHC’s work indeveloping, funding, and sponsoring hundredsof public programs annually that exploreFlorida’s history, culture, values, and ideasaround the state. He is a graduate of the lawschool at the University of Florida and haspracticed environmental and land use law. Heserved two terms on the Pinellas CountyCommission and as its chairperson twice. Heserves on the Board of the national Federationof State Humanities Councils.
Jon Parrish Peede's previous positions includepublisher of the Virginia Quarterly Review(VQR) at the University of Virginia, literaturegrants director at the National Endowment forthe Arts, counselor to the NEA Chairman DanaGioia, director of the NEA OperationHomecoming: Writing the WartimeExperience program, director of the NEA BigRead program, director of communications atMillsaps College, and editor at MercerUniversity Press with a focus on humanities.
