The course offers an optional examination giving the successful candidates an internationally recognised formal qualification in accordance with ISO 18436-2. The course includes technical presentations, case studies, demonstrations, tutorials and hands on workshops. Learning Outcomes Participants will be able to: • Understand the principles of vibration and how this relates to machine condition • Perform vibration analysis of machinery and components by interpreting vibration waveforms and spectral data • Participants will learn to accurately measure vibration data and select correct analyser setup • Perform impact tests to determine natural frequencies • Understand single plane machine balancing • Maintain a database of results and trends • Interpret test results in accordance with applicable specifications and standards • Identify erroneous measurements. Participants will receive • Basic Machinery Vibrations textbook by Ronald L. Eshleman • Course workbook • Attendance certificate • Candidates who successfully complete the exam will receive certification to ISO 18436-2 • Lunch and morning tea provided. Vipac is an International Representative of the Vibration Institute and uses Institute training materials and certification exams.
