Fiber Optic Temperature Sensor System
The Photon FluoTemp fiber optic temperature sensor system consists of temperature sensor probe, converter, software and accessories that include adapters and extension cables. Each application and installation environment will determine the type of probe and converter used in the system. Photon pro-vides a customizable system that is designed to accommodate a wide range of applications and maintain industry leading performance.

The FluoTemp family of fiber optic temperature sensor converters offers cost effective industry leading performance, while maintaining user friendly operation. The robust design provides accuracy down to 50mK without “laboratory” level pricing. The compatibility with the FluoTemp family of fiber optic temperature sensor probes provides high-resolution systems with long-term reliability for specific customer applications.

PalmSENSE
The PalmSENSE is a compact digital fiber optic sensor that brings accuracy, durability, and reliability to the palm of the hand. A mini-USB 2.0 digital output provides data transfer between the PalmSENSE and a computer, and is used to recharge the on board battery. The PalmSENSE is compatible with all Photon temperature sensors, providing a digital handheld temperature sensing system suitable for any application.

FluoSoft Software / Software Development Kit
Photon provides custom FluoSoft software for com-munication with the FluoTemp system. The software is compatible with the FluoTemp temperature sensor converters through RS-232 or RS-485 with ModBUS connection. Both single channel and multichannel options are offered.

RS-485 ModBus Protocol
Multichannel converter arrays are interconnected via a built in power and communication BUS capable of up to 32 channels via standard RS-485 ModBus Protocol. Photon supplies a RS-232 to RS-485 converter connected with a 1.5m cable for multichannel interfacing between converter array and computer.
RS-232 Digital Interface
Photon provides a 1.8m RS-232 Interface Cable that connects the 2.5mm converter jack plug with DB9 serial port for digital interface with DIN Rail Converters.
