• Flower arrangements plays an important role in commemorating life's most significant moment, and in making homes and workplaces more pleasant.

Centerpiece

• Idinisenyo itong pantay o symmetrical ang ayos kahit saang anggulo tingnan.

Paano gawin?1. Ilagay ang floral foam sa vase. Siguruhing

akma ang sukat ng foam.

2. Put foliage into floral foam until it is equally distributed. Gupitin ng pantay ang foliage na may ½-1 inches from the foam.

3. Ilagay ang mga napiling bulaklak. (depending on the flower arrangement style in which also conveys the mood and occasions)

4. Sa paglalagay ng mga foliage at bulaklak, siguraduhing natatakpan ang rim ng vase

5. Use baby’s breath/aster to fill in gaps and adds final touch on the arrangement.

Corsage and Boutonniere

• Ang corsage ay isang maliit na pumpon ng orchids (karaniwang vanda) na ikinakabit sa may dibdib ng mga babae kung may mararangya o pormal na okasyon tulad ng kasalan, graduation, at mga pasinaya.

• Sa mga ganitong pagtitipon ay mayroon din bulaklak na ikinakakabit sa lapel ng kasuotan ng mga lalaki. Ang tawag dito ay boutonniere.

I. Mga Kagamitan:

a. vanda (orchid)

b. 1 bulaklak ng carnation

c. floral ribbons (1/4” ang lapad)

d. dahon ng asparagus

e. putting floral tape o crepe paper

f. Floral wire

g. Lace

II. Paraan ng Paggawa:

A. Corsage

1. Itusok nang maingat ang alambre sa puno (sepal) ng vanda at paikutin ito sa tangkay upang huwag itong mabali. Pagkatapos ay balutin ito ng floral tape o crepe paper (1/4” ang lapad).

4. Ayusin ang asparagus leaves nang patatsulok (triangular) at talian ang dulo ng alambre. Ipatong dito ang kumpol ng vanda. Lagyan ng baby’s breath sa paligid.

5. Balutin ng floral tape o crepe paper ang pinag-isang tangkay ng corsage. Kabitan ng safety pin sa likod.

2. Sa paggawa ng floral ribbon, ilaso ang ribbon nang 2 o 3 beses. Talian ng alambre ang gitna. Lagyan din ng tangkay na alambre at balutin ito ng floral tape o crepe paper.

3. Kumpulin ang 3 vanda ayon sa man,heaven and earth o tatsulok na kaayusan. Ilagay ang ribbon sa pagitan at sa puno ng kumpol.

B. Boutonniere

Ang mga kagamitan para dito ay katulad din ng sa corsage, maliban lamang sa bulaklak ng carnation.

1.Putulin ang tangkay ng carnation nang hanggang 2” lang.

2.Dagdagan ito ng ilang tangkay ng baby’s breath.

3.Balutin ng floral tape o crepe paper ang pinag-isang tangkay ng carnation at baby’s breath. Lagyan ng safety pin para maikabit ito sa kasuotan.

Presidential Floral Arrangement

Ang presidential flower arrangement ay nababagay sa mahahabang mesa na karaniwan ay tinatawag na presidential tables. Ito ay popular sa mga kasalan at mararangal na okasyon.

I. Mga Kagamitana. Rectangular vase/ any container

b. floral foam

c. fish tail

d. flowers

e. baby’s breath

f. dahon ng papua

g. gunting

II. Paraan ng Paggawa:1. Ilagay ang anchor sa container o vase.

2. Ayusin muna ang mga fish tail leaves nang pahiga (horizontal) sa magkabilang side. Ang mga dulo ng dahon ay dapat na magkakatugma upang makaporma ng isang oblong (hugis-itlog). Ito ang gawing gabay sa pagdadagdag ng bulaklak.

4. Isa –isang ilagay ang mga bulaklak, mula sa pinakasentro na siyang pinakamataas. Ang taas nito ay hindi dapat lumampas sa antas ng paningin (eye level) ng mga taong nakaupo sa paligid ng mesa. Arko ang hugis ng susundin sa paglagay ng bulaklak.

5. Ilagay ang baby’s breath sa mga natitirang puwang. Ang taas ng baby’s breath ay hindi dapat humigit sa taas ng bulaklak.

Bouquet

Materials Needed

• 2 dozen of red roses

• Fish tail

• Baby’s breath

• Plastic cover

• Rice paper

• Ribbon

• Floral wire

Steps• In a table, lay down plastic cover and rice paper,

on top of it add fish tail and other foliage forming a triangle form.

• Lay the roses flat and inspect them for thorns and any brown petals. Remove browning petals and thorns. Then select three roses to be the center of your bouquet.

• Add remaining flowers on top of the rice paper following the “ikebana” rules of flower arrangement.

• For finishing touch, add baby’s breath unto the arrangement.

• Tie the arrangement by using floral wire

• Add ribbons to cover the wire.
