Floridays International is located in Gulf Breeze, a green and residential peninsula situated amongst the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and the city of Pensacola, on the border between Florida and Alabama. Pensacola is the very first site where Europeans landed in the United States in 1559. Today, it is ranked as one of the top 10 cities in the United States for quality of life and personal safety, and one of the top 5 cities for business investment opportunities. (Money Magazine 2002). Between 5 and 10 of the best beaches in the United States can be found within 40 miles of Pensacola beach.

Pensacola enjoys optimal geographical positioning on the high summit of the Gulf of Mexico, on the border between Florida and Alabama, only three hours drive from New Orleans (LA), one hour and a half from Biloxi, and 50 minutes by plane from Atlanta (GA) and Orlando (South Florida). Among the many recreational, sport and cultural activities available during your stay are the following: Golf, sailing, hiking, snorkelling, museum visits (naval aviation, Native American, civil war and colonial ), shopping and… the whitest beaches in America!.

Floridays International provides professional consultancy and training in the English language for professionals and companies in non-English speaking countries. The company was founded in 1997 by a group of young professionals, American, British, and Italian, coming from international corporate management and training experiences. In the first six months of activity, Floridays International held nearly 200 specialized and personalized programs in the Training Center in Pensacola (USA) for nearly 300 professionals, entrepreneurs, and managers from European, Latin America, and the Far East.

Floridays International chose the most appropriate location for Business English and management training, in the Pensacola area chamber of commerce. The authentic context of a business center allows for vast exposure to the American business mechanism. The classrooms are soundproofed and equip with modern instruments for an efficient learning experience. Our staff of TESL certified trainers carries out day-to-day training utilizing advanced communication techniques and tailor made materials.

Each participant’s linguistic training is based on results from needs analysis carried out by a senior trainer at our headquarters in Italy a few weeks prior to departure. The preliminary meeting must establish with precision the following: • participant’s training objectives • didactic material (ad hoc) • calendar of activities and

business meetings ( lunches with guests, visits to local companies)

• practical use of English outside the classroom in the “English in action” sessions.

A shared method which focuses on results!

The lessons are structured, lively and interactive. The communicative method privileges practice and listening, and addresses each progressive phase of communication in English. During each phase of learning, we focus upon the cultural differences that influence different means of expression among English speaking peoples. Particular emphasis is paid to situations pertinent to the world of business. The use of available materials at our offices (audio, video, software, personal computer, books, and specialized journals) permits the participant to integrate work in the classroom with individual progress.

The final objective of the trainer is to enable the participant to gain greater familiarity with self-expression in English and fully comprehend his/her own line of speech beyond the significance of individual words. For this reason, Floridays International has designed English programs in the USA built upon interaction between professionals of different nationalities. The trainer has the role of “tutor” and “facilitator”, monitoring the intensity of the participant’s involvement within their tailor made program.

The individual “one-to-one” courses for professionals are held throughout the year. They have a minimum duration of two weeks and are based on a full-immersion, 5 days a week didactic program. To guarantee the quality of the training program and individual assistance to the participant, there are a maximum number of 8 courses allowed per month. We advise for this reason that your reserve the time period you have decided upon for the individual course as soon as possible. The course consists of 4 hours of personalized training per day and an additional 2-3 hours of needs specific work per day, for a total of 30-35 hours per week.

6 We focus on the passage from knowing the English language to acquiring ownership of communication skills. The participant’s business reality is involved during each phase of learning. We privilege communication in a business context through constant classroom work and daily interaction with American business men. Social meetings take place in the presence o f the trainer both in a work context (office and company visits in the area) and in a social context (lunch and “after hours” with guest speakers and local professionals).

The classroom program focuses on the 6 principal managerial skills in order to reinforce the participant’s ability to sustain a fluid a line of speech, and manage meetings and telephone appointments in a business context at an international level. The curriculum is directly based upon the work responsibilities of each participant. Available in group (max. 6) participants

Non stop hospitality service …

Arrival at Pensacola, FL Floridays’ staff will be at the gate to assist the participant and guide him to his/her pre-selected accommodation

Orientation week-end Floridays’ staff organizes a logistical / tourist briefing with each participant which includes a welcome brunch on the sea
