DescriptionThe SCHAKO floor displacement air diffuser type PILB in rectan-gular and square design and the type PILBR in round designare suitable for installation in double floors in rooms of highthermal loads such as computer centres. The air flows hori-zontally out of the floor displacement air diffuser. This flow re-sults in a rapid reduction of the temperature and velocity nearthe diffuser.The round floor displacement air diffuser (PILBR) consists of afaceplate and a dirt collection basket (at an extra charge). Therectangular and square floor displacement air diffuser (PILB)consist of a faceplate and a support frame and, at an extracharge, it can be fitted with a dirt collection basket. The basketbottom of the dirt collection basket is height-adjustable. This al-lows the supply air volume of each diffuser to be set to differentvalues if there are different diffuser resistances.Instead of the dirt collection basket, the floor displacement airdiffuser can also be fitted with a plenum box for optimum airdistribution over the entire diffuser. The plenum box can be ad-ditionally fitted with a damper. This serves for air volume regu-lation and is easy to adjust. For easy mounting, an installationframe (for PILB) or mounting ring (for PILBR) can be suppliedat an extra charge.
To maintain the local thermal ambient climate, we recommendselecting a supply air temperature > 19°C.
