Flight Data ServicesOne Source, One Solution
For the past twenty-five years, we have provided expert Flight Data Analysis services for FDR Airworthiness Checks and Incident Investigation to diverse customers. With our roots in avionics test and maintenance, we are experienced in performing Flight Data Analysis for most aircraft types and believe in providing exemplary technical services and support. Avionica has over 500 global customers, including regional, national, and international carriers.
FDR Airworthiness ExpertsOur expert staff is dedicated to the science of FDR data analysis, having participated in the evolution of the FDR airworthiness regulations since 1992. We founded our business on FDR data analysis and helped pave the way for FAA acceptance of currently used methodologies.
Avionica regularly participates in the evolution and development of ARINC specifications as a member of the AEEC Digital Flight Data Recorder Subcommittee and the Flight Recorder Electronic Documentation Subcommittee. We provide regular training of our data analysis team using actual flight data and provide continuing education on evolving industry standards.
Quality You Can Count OnAvionica is an ISO 9001:2008 AS9100 Continuous Quality Improvement certified organization. Our FDR data analysis quality process includes interpretation guidelines developed over several years, which are specific to customer, aircraft type, and configuration, designed to facilitate analysis in accordance with the examples given in AC20-141B, appendix 4. The process includes custom automated tests incorporated into the aircraft data-frame templates we use in AVSCAN. These custom tools ensure a repeatable and controlled procedure is followed every time a data analysis is performed.
Regulatory ComplianceAvionica is an expert in the FDR data analysis processes required to fulfill the requirements of Title 14 of the Code of Federal Regulations, section 121.344 Appendix M and related sections. Additionally, we can fulfill the requirements of JarOps, ICAO Annex 6, and EUROCAE ED-112A regulations as they pertain to flight data analysis for FDR/DFDR airworthiness. Our ground support equipment (RSU and PTI cables) and data analysis tool (AVSCAN) are designed to facilitate compliance with these various regulations. Our AS9100 registered quality process incorporates procedures for flight data analysis that comply with AC20-141B.

Trusted SupportYour airline doesn’t sleep… neither do we. 24/7/365 AOG support is part of all readout contracts. Avionica maintains redundantly available duty personnel at all times that can be reached toll-free for your staff.
For airlines equipped with our data collection devices, we have a web based, secure file share system customers can use to send us data files. All our contract customers receive 24/7/365 AOG support (and do not need to use Avionica equipment to get that support).
Cost SavingsUsing Avionica for FDA drastically reduces the time and cost involved in performing this mandatory activity around the world. We know that approximately 8% of readouts will be maintenance or incident-related, and often investigate engine exceedances and isolated system failures. A single saved engine can pay for many years’ worth of service!
Customize Data ReportingWe’ll work with your engineering or operations personnel to craft a custom readout services program that fits your airline. We provide an array of report formats, so choose the one best suited for your operation.
