FOUR-POST MOUNT WITH REAR-FACING EARSIfmountingtheAIPinafour-postrackandtherackopeningistoonarrowtofittheAIPwithforward-facingears,dothefollowing.1 Usethefollowingillustrationasreference.

2 RemovethetwoscrewsthatsecuretheAIPhandletothechassis,andthenremovetheAIPhandle.3 Removethesixscrewsthatsecureeachpre-installedmountingeartotheAIP.4 Mountthefourearstothechassis,facingtotherear,twooneachside,withoneinthefrontpositionandoneinthemidposition.Notethatinthismountingoptionyouonlyuse3screwsperear.Insertthescrewsintothescrewholesidentifiedintheillustrationtotheright.

FOUR-POST MOUNTING WITH A TELESCOPIC SHELFIfinstallingtheAIPinarackwitha17.5"opening,analternativeistouseatelescoping,adjustablerackshelf.ThefollowinggraphicshowsanexampleofatelescopicshelfthatMiddleAtlanticmanufacturesandsellsforapproximately$150.

NOTE: The AIP chassis requires 6 RU of space. The telescoping rack adds an additional 1 RU to the AIP installation, for a total of 7 RU of space.
