Güntner specialises in air-cooled condensers and dry cool-ers for all the usual fluids. Our FLAT and VERTICAL series have proved particularly popular and are continually being improved.
These extremely versatile units are available in horizontal or vertical design. Using the Güntner Product Calculator GPC you can quickly and easily design suitable condensers or dry coolers for your requirements.

Reverse cycle for heat pump operation
Using a condenser as a heat pump evaporator (Special option, upon request)
A heat pump uses the thermal energy from the ambient air for heating. On the low-pressure side, cold is gener-ated while on the high-pressure side the heat is dissipat-ed. A refrigerating plant dissipates thermal energy to the ambient air.
For heat pumps, the operating principle is reversed. The generated thermal energy serves as heating whereas the cold is discharged to the ambient air. A heat pump offers a very high efficiency level of approx. 90 % and is one of the most efficient heating systems.

We can also turn condensers into heat pump evapo-rators for you. This means that the connection system of the condenser is modified in a way it operates as heat pump connection. Based on your parameters and the employed fluid, Güntner calculates and designs the pipe circuiting. Then the condenser operates as DX heat pump evaporator.
And the best is yet to come: You can set the mode of operation to cooling during summer and to heating during winter.

Controls
Güntner Motor Management (GMM) is an electronic module for controlling fans. The GMM system is available for AC or EC fans. A number of different technologies are used, but one feature is common to all management systems: They all provide various functions that serve to enhance energy efficiency and operational safety.
All GMM systems can be extended to include com-munication modules. Available modules include Modbus, Profibus and Gateway for Lon and BacNet.
GMMs can also be equipped with WiFi/LAN mod-ules. This module offers manifold communication possibilities.
You can use a smartphone or tablet to access the integrated web services, or use the Güntner Controls app to handle the entire controller setup process.

High cooling power – special assembly situationLondon is home to one of Europe’s largest shopping cen-tres. A total of 61 speed-controller-equipped Güntner dry coolers provide for a pleasant atmosphere. Such a large number of dry coolers calls for special measures for the
assembly and installation. The speed controllers ensure that the required noise levels can be complied with day and night.
Process coolingIn this factory, the company Glockenbrot produces baked goods for branches all over Germany. This involves processing 100 tonnes of flour every day. Güntner’s dry coolers cool the refrigeration units required for process cooling.
Altitude – extreme conditionsGermany’s highest transmitter is operated by the Bavarian broadcasting company BR in the Alps. Güntner dry coolers are in operation in all weathers at an altitude of 1800 m.
Fish processing – corrosion proofOne of Europe’s largest and most modern fish processing plants is on the Baltic island of Rügen. Erecting condensers and dry coolers on the coast calls for special anti-corrosion measures. Güntner’s special corrosion-proof condensers fulfil these requirements.
Stringent noise requirementsRefrigeration equipment with a total cooling power of 3.5 MW is installed at the Rinecker Proton Therapy Center. The location of the dry coolers called for a non-standard assembly and compliance with extra stringent noise requirements.

Protection of historic buildingsThe Altmarkt gallery in Dresden operates 20 GFH dry coolers to ensure a pleasant atmosphere. Utilising the “free cooling” operating mode saves energy amounting to 95,000 kWh per year. To protect the historic building the dry coolers were arranged at an angle and integrated into the building.
