Muse have finally released their sixth album Muse – Summed up in One!!. The Album Muse – Summed up in one! will be in stores next month!! Inside is a exclusive interview with the band.
MUSE
Rock Mayhem is a new magazine aimed at a target audience of males aged 16-19. The Majority of my readers are most likely to be male teenagers, this is because I have based my magazine design on the responses I got from the survey I created. The main responses I got stated that the main thing that would make a magazine look like drivel would be the price & layout, so with this in mind I have decided to make my magazine quite cheap and with the use of simple yet decent colours. Means that it could gather a much wider audience.
Rock Mayhem magazine wasn’t originally going to be called Rock Mayhem, this is because after researching the name. I found out that there was already a magazine called Mayhem so I decided it would be best to change the name to Rock Mayhem, this also makes it easier for the audience to establish that the magazine is about rock music.
This magazine will have information detailing about interviews with many musicians alongside information about the upcoming gigs. It will also have reviews about new music that’s new to the scene. Another way the magazine will be catching the audiences attention is by the articles; they will be very detailed with lots of information about the lives of musicians and how they raised to fame.
The layout is going to be quite simple with the front cover only having two images of two bands. The photographs that I will be using will be of the band members just stood together. It will be simple in style with pictures, there will be more text than images.
The double page spread will be an interview with a band, discussing there brand new album and tour. The interview will be also be supported by a vast photograph of the band.

For the Band title I will be using a font called Punk kid.

This is the most important font that I will be using because this is the font for the main title Rock Mayhem, this font is called Ink in the Meat and was downloaded off a font website called dafont.com

This font is known as Goudy Stout and it will be the font that I will be using for the titles on my magazine front cover.
Fonts
These are four main colours that I will be using in my magazine. I will be using a band image for the background. I will be using Blue for the Price, Date & Issue Number title. Whereas for the Text, Titles and cover lines I will be using either blue and white. Equally for the Main header I will be using black.

The images below are the types of images and photography I will be using. I have decided that I would like my magazine to have simple yet effective images. I would like my photographs to be in Black and white, with the image only showing the band members.
