Technical Data
The anti-soiling effect of the duraGLARE coating has been proven by special measurements of the specular reflectivity of coated and uncoated mirrors. The data clearly shows the additional performance of duraGLARE coated mirrors.
Reflectivity of clean mirrors
Reflectivity at soiling level 1
Reflectivity at soiling level 2
Uncoated 94.2% 89.1% (- 5.2%) 45.6% (-48.6%)
duraGLARE 94.2% 91.5% (-2.7%) 67.4% (-26.8%)
Solar Product Information
duraGLARE A coating with dust repellent properties designed to enhance reflectivity and reduce cleaning efforts
mirrors side-by-side in outdoor test, specular reflectivity at 660 nm, measured at different measurement days (soiling level 1 & 2)

Persuasive Advantages at a Glance:Dust Repellent Properties duraGLARE gives solar mirrors the ability to repel all sorts of dust, sand and various particles. The adhesion of dust and particles will be reduced significantly. The optimal reflectivity properties of the mirrors remain the same throughout the worst environmental conditions. It is proven that duraGLARE coated mirrors show far less soiling ef-fects than uncoated mirrors in the same conditions. Facilitated Cleaning Process
duraGLARE will facilitate the cleaning process and cleaning intervals and thus reduce costs. An
expensive mechanical cleaning process is no longer necessary, as it is sufficient just to rinse the mirrors. The cleaning intervals in the solar field can be ex-tended with the use of these specialized mirrors.
Optical Neutrality duraGLARE is optimized for solar applications and designed to reach the highest optical transparency. Due to these properties, no major objectionable in-fluence to the initial reflectivity of the solar mirror is to be measured and can be neglected by the addi-tional gain of the enhanced reflectivity compared to uncoated, soiled mirrors.

Cleaning and Handling
The duraGLARE coating should be cleaned by spraying DI-water on the mirror surface. As the coating has easy-to-clean properties this cleaning process is sufficient enough to restore the initial reflectivity. A good rainfall would do this task as well. The use of brushes or other mechanical cleaning is not necessary and should be avoided in order to not harm the functional coating. duraGLARE coated mirrors should be touched with clean gloves.

Test campaigns, including washing procedures have been performed. By measuring specular reflectivity in the field, it is proven that the duraGLARE coated mirrors show up to 50 % less soiling than uncoated mirrors.
