The Florida CARES Project

Florida CARES = Community Activity Results in Exceptional EmployeeS

A pilot project involving 515 employees (staff, teachers, administrators) of six high schools in Santa Rosa County, Florida

Chosen for their high rate of inactivity and their willingness to partner with USF/UF to reduce overweight and obesity

Increase consumption of fruits, veggies and whole grains to five or more daily

Each employee will have a “Health Passport” in which they will record their activity for the day and their dietary intake of fruits, veggies and whole grains
