Attendance & Attendance & PUNCTUALITYPUNCTUALITY• Help your child by observing the school timings.• Children late by more than five minutes will need

a tardy slip from the office.• Attendance for shorter duration is not acceptable.

However, planned late coming or early departure for medical reasons should be notified at least a day in advance.

• A letter of excuse is expected if child is absent even for a single day. Verbal notices are not acceptable.

• Absence on the first day of school after a vacation is specially concerning.

• No leave is granted, other than medical, while the school is in session.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCEPHYSICAL APPEARANCE• Children should come to school in a well-

ironed, clean and complete uniform.• Girls should keep their hair back from their

faces, using simple black clips or ribbons.• Boys should have very short, simple hair

cut.• Nails should be neatly trimmed.• Children’s head should be free of lice (spot

checking is carried out throughout the year).

• Children are required to bring simple, light, sturdy school bags.

• All belongings should be labelled with the name and class of child, in permanent ink.

SnacksSnacks• Children must bring snacks and water

from home.• Please do not send messy snacks.• Chocolates, sweets, chewing gums, and

chalia are strictly prohibited in the school.

PARENT TEACHER MEETINGPARENT TEACHER MEETING• Regular Parent Teacher Meetings are

held at the school. Attendance and punctuality are mandatory at these meetings, preferably by both the parents.

• Meeting may be called by the teacher for discussing the child’s progress in any area, academic or social.

• If you wish to see the teacher, take an appointment through the front office. (Please do not go to the class directly).

• Make sure to meet the teacher at the appointed time.

PROGRESS & MONITORINGPROGRESS & MONITORING

• Progress in class is monitored on an ongoing basis.

• A progress report is issued twice a year – end of each term.

• Parents should keep continuous and close supervision of their child's progress.

HOW you CAN HELPHOW you CAN HELPYour child:Before school starts• Have a positive attitude and look forward to the first day in

school• Discuss any fears about school before the first day. Be positive loving and

reassuring.

Once school starts • Show your support by encouraging your child to discuss his/her

feelings about school.• Meet with the teacher to work out any concerns.• Make sure your child goes to bed early and has a good night’s sleep.• Arrive on time.• Leave school cheerfully and don’t linger.

Throughout the session• Maintain a healthy daily routine of work and play at

home.• Spend quality time with your child.• Show an interest in what your child is doing.• Listen to, and acknowledge your child’s efforts.• Reading is a way to success. Read regularly to/with your

child.

please refrain from speaking to the teachers during school hours.

• If there is any discussion you need to have with the class teacher, please take an appointment.
