RULES FOR THEPreservation of Dr. Bray s Lending LibrariesIN THE COLONIES.

1. -The Bishop of the diocese shall be requested to act as Visitorof the Library.2. Three or more clergymen shall be appointed trustees to take

charge ->f the books.3 : On the death, removal from the neighbourhood, or resignationof any trustee, the remaining trustees shall appoint a successor to be approved by the Bishop, from among the neigh

bouring clergy, and inform the associates of the appointment ;or in the event of their neglecting to make such appointmentwithin three months after the occurrence of a vacancy, theBishop may appoint a successor.

4 The trustees shall appoint a librarian and furnish him fromtime to time with the names of the clsrgyman entitled to iiseof the library.5 The librarian, on hi-* appoint n-mt, shall make three catalogues

of the books, which shall b3 signed by ths trustees. Onecopy shall be seat to the Associate s Secretary in Loadon, *one to the Bishop of the diocese, and the third shall be keptwith the books.

0. The librarian shall, before the end of January in every thirdyear report to the Bishop the number, titles, aud condition ofthd books under his care, aud seal a c;>py of such reportcountersigned by one or more of the trustees to the AssociatesSecretary.

7. Any person losing or injuring any of the books shall beanswerable to the trustees for the loss o. injury.8. On any volume being borrowed or returned, an entry shall bemade thereof in the register provided by the associates.y.~ The trustees may make any regulations for the management of
