Warning Please take care when unpacking your blind, do not use a knife or any sharp objects when unpacking.

Choose how to mount the brackets. The brackets are a universal type that can be used to face fix or top fix.

Step One. Fitting the brackets

Top mounting the blind onto the ceiling/ underside of a recess. Face mount onto a wall/ window frame.

A bracket should sit at either side of the rail, approximately 100mm away from the end. Remaining brackets should be equally distributed along the width.

Deciding where to mount the brackets:

A bracket should sit either side of the rail, 110mm away from the end. Remaining brackets should be equally distributed along the width.

Ensure that brackets are positioned a suitable distance away from any window/ door handles or any other obstructions to allow the blind to operate smoothly.

Step Two. Fitting the blind

Hold each bracket into place and mark the hole positions using a pencil. Fit each bracket using 2 screws provided.If a pilot hole is required, use a 2.5mm drill bit. Ensure the brackets are level to ensure the smooth operation of the blind. For fixing to alternative surfaces i.e. plas-ter/ stroke concrete, alternative suitable fixings should be used.

To attach the blind to the brackets, open the swing arm on the bracket so that it protrudes out. Locate the front lip of the rail onto the front prongs of the bracket, push the rear of the headrail fully up. Then gently push the swing arm towards the back of the bracket to lock the rail into place.

To remove the rail, simply pull the swing arm at the front of the bracket outwards again. Your venetian blind will arrive with blue transit protection pads between the top rail and the top slat, carefully remove these once the blind has been installed.

The child safety cord cleat must beinstalled at the minimum distancepossible from the control mechanism andminimum 1.5 m from �oor.

1. Place the safety cleat in the desiredposition on the wall and mark thepositions of the holes with a pencil.

2. Drill the holes. Use screws to attach thesafety cleat to the wall.

3. Wrap the cords around the cord cleatsin a �gure of 8. When the cords are fullyaccumulated ensure they are secure sowhen any cord is pulled no excess cordis released.

Step Four. To operate the blind

• There are two controls to operate your blind: a raise/lowercontrol and a tilt control.

• To lower the blind, pull the cord (with acorn on) towards thecentre of the blind to release the locking mechanism andallow the blind to lower.

• To lock the blind, pull the cord (with acorn on) towardsthe edge of the blind and slightly release allowing lockingmechanism to locate.

• To tilt the blind, twist the wand either one way or other.

EXPERT ADVICE

If you pull the cord to open or close the blind but the blind doesn’t move, then take the blind down and look inside the headrail to make sure that the metal tilt rod is fully engaged with the sidewinder mecha-nism. This rod should rotate when the side chain is pulled. If it doesn’t, take off the headrail end cap located at the opposite end of the rail to the chain mechanism and push the metal rod until it’s fully en-gaged with the sidewinder mechanism. The chain should now rotate the rod.

Caring for your blind• Don’t allow moisture to settle on the blinds. • Wipe with a clean damp cloth.

• Vacuum your roman blind using the vacuum upholstery attachment.

• Don’t use any type of detergent to clean your blind.

• Don’t oil or lubricate any part of the blind to prevent damage.

• Dry cleaning recommended.

Make it safeYoung children can be strangled by loops in pull cords, chains, tapes, andinner cords that operate the product. To avoid strangulations and entanglement, keep cords out of the reach of young children.

• Move beds, cots and furniture away from window covering cords.

• Do not tie cords together.
