Bodybuilders, endurance athletes and group exercise enthusiasts age 16 and up all enjoy our New England fitness facilities – with our “Boston Red Sox” Fitness-Club, “Manchester Spinning Club” and “Newport Dance Factory”. Our experienced coaches will be glad to help with your training on request. And if a workout in the great outdoors is what you enjoy most, we can recommend the most beautiful jogging routes and Nordic walking tracks across the meadows along the banks of the Rhine.
REFRESHMENTS
Effective training calls for a wholesome balanced diet. If you feel your strength, stamina or concentration beginning to wane during a workout, our assortment of snacks and beverages will provide a quick fix; try an energy drink with all natural ingredients or nutritious sports snacks in the form of a shake or energy bar – or a freshly prepared wrap and an espresso to perk you up. That tastes good and gives you a boost of energy.
ZUMBA® AND ZUMBA® GOLDRhythm in the blood
Zumba® – a combination of aerobics and
dance invented by Colombian dancer and fit-
ness trainer Alberto Perez – puts you through
a good workout to Latin American rhythms.
The music and dance steps stem for the most
part from salsa, merengue, samba, tango
and hip hop. The priorities here are creative
movement and, of course, having fun.
A more easygoing version called Zumba®
Gold has been developed for participants who
are older or of limited capability or flexibility –
e. g. following an operation.
PILATESHolistic physical training
If you like group training led by an expert
coach, we recommend taking one of our
courses. How about a Pilates class, for
example, which systematically takes you
through a series of whole-body exercises
to strengthen your muscles – primarily the
pelvic floor, stomach and back muscles.
This ingenious method was developed by
Joseph Hubert Pilates, a gymnast and circus
artiste. His exercises, which can be done
on a mat or on special equipment, involve
working all your muscles separately and
special breathing exercises to relax your
body and mind.
INDOOR CYCLINGPowering up to a maximum heart rate
In indoor cycling you really rev up on a station-
ary bicycle, alongside fellow cyclists, building
up to and maintaining a fast heart rate. You
can ride sitting or “standing flat” (also known
as “running”) as you synchronise your pedal-
ling to the rhythm of music carefully selected
by your instructor. Each cyclist chooses the
degree of resistance on their bike’s flywheel
themselves. This way, people with different
levels of fitness can train together – and even
beginners can easily keep up. Each hour
begins as a rule with a warm-up and ends
with a cool-down, followed by a brief routine
of stretching exercises.
YOGABody-conscious and energetic
Yoga involves a combination of demand-
ing physical exercises while developing a
strong inner focus. Originally from India, this
discipline requires both physical exertion and
mental concentration. It’s a gentle approach
to developing muscular strength, flexibility
and an awareness of your own body. Calmly
holding the various yoga positions releases
blocked life energies, improves blood flow to
the organs and even activates inner healing
forces, breaking down stress hormones and
strengthening the psyche in the process.

BEFORE THE TREATMENTWell prepared for a pampering
DRINKING: If you have booked a massage or a body treat-
ment, or if you are using one of our sauna areas,
please ensure that you drink enough water or
tea beforehand. A balanced level of water will
maximise your body's ability to benefit from the
detoxifying effects of our treatments.
EATING: Do not begin your treatment when you are
hungry or immediately after eating. Avoid
heavy meals at least one hour before the start of your treatment.
AFTER THE TREATMENTTo prolong your sense of relaxation
D ON’ T RUSH: Breathe deeply and leave all your thoughts,
worries and problems behind. Soak up the
ambiance for a lasting respite from everyday
cares, whether you choose to enjoy our sauna
facilities or pool areas or to work up a sweat
with one of our fitness options.
BE SUN C ONSCIOUS: In most cases you should avoid UV light after
your treatment. If you booked a body scrub or
oil massage you should wait at least 12 hours
before your next sunbathing session.
COMMUNICATIONJust the way you like it
Speak to our staff. Not all your wishes
can be anticipated if you do not mention
them. Your therapist will ask about your
particular wishes before and during the
treatment. The right music, the best oil or
the desired room temperature are only a
few things that will make your stay a perfect
experience. We offer a free selection of teas
to accompany all treatments.
Please be sure to inform our employee if you
are pregnant, suffer from high blood pressure
or if you may have a heart condition or health
problems of any kind. This will ensure that
your visit will bea perfect spa experience.
CLOTHINGFeel comfortable!
If you have booked a treatment, bath robes,
bathing shoes and towels will be provided for you.
Lockers are available for your clothing. You are
perfectly welcome, however, to come to the spa
with the bath robe from your room (bath robes
are available on loan from the hotel reception).
We recommend arriving for your treatment with-
out make-up. If you have booked a facial or body
treatment, we kindly ask you to remove jewellery
and outer garments. Please keep your under
garments on. For some treatments, your therapist
will provide you with disposable undergarments.
For your comfort, the parts of the body not in-
volved in the massage will be kept warm under a
sheet or towel. Our sauna areas are nudist areas.
Please always lay a big towel under your body
and feet in the sauna cabin. We kindly ask you
to cover your body when using the spa corridors
and the relaxation rooms.
The Wellness & Spa areas in the Europa-Park hotels are places of peace and relax-ation for body, mind and soul. In order to ensure a relaxing atmosphere, we would kindly ask all spa visitors to keep noise levels to an absolute minimum. Use your time in the Wellness & Spa area to thoroughly relax. Please ensure that your mobile phone is turned off. Please note that smoking is not permitted in any part of the spa areas. Only adults of 18 years and over may use the sauna area.
