RESPONDING TO THE WORD

*Affirmation of Faith – The Apostles’ Creed – (Traditional version) (read in unison) (Ushers gather in the narthex at this time.)

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth,

And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy

Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was

crucified, dead, and buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose

again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand

of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick

and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of

saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life

everlasting. Amen.

Thoughts on Giving: “But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth...” JOHN 16:13 Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to help us know and live the truth. To prepare ourselves, we need to open our hearts to receive this gift before we can give it. Develop a daily prayer routine to ask the Holy Spirit to help guide our thoughts and actions. Stewardship Prayer: That we may allow the Holy Spirit to guide our daily actions and thoughts.
