2.Introduction of OMOL Laboratory

Established in September 2014, the Oceanic Modeling and Observation Laboratory of

Marine Science in Nanjing University of Information Science & Technology is an

interdisciplinary research institution, whose research areas span cross oceanography,

geophysics and biotechnology. The group members are engaged in regional oceanic

numerical modeling, theory analysis of ocean dynamic processes, air-sea interaction, oceanic

eddy dynamic analysis, the analysis of remote sensing data and field observation data. Its

research areas covering the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean and the

Arctic Ocean.

金陵名胜 Major Scenic Sites

1. 中山陵 Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum

中山陵占地 80000 平方米，座落于江苏省南

京市东郊的钟山风景区。陵墓坐北朝南，整个建

筑群依山势而建，由南往北沿中轴线逐渐升高，

被视为中国现代建筑史上最杰出的陵墓建筑作

品。

Covering an area of 80 000 square meters，Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum is

located in the Zhongshan Mountain Scenic Area in the east suburb of Nanjing City

Jiangsu Province. Facing south，the structures，along with the mountain ascends

gradually along with the central axis line running from south to the north and is

regarded as the most outstanding mausoleum in Chinese modern architectural history.

2. 秦淮河 Qin Huai River

秦淮河是南京第一大河，也是南京地区最

大的一条河流，是这座城市的“生命源泉”。

秦淮河的桨声歌影使海内外游客心动神移。

Qin Huai River is the largest river in the

Nanjing City area and is the“life'"blood"of the city. Olin Huai River is so fascinating

that it captures the imaginations of people both at home and abroad.

3. 明孝陵 Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum

明孝陵是中国古代最大的帝王陵寝之一，

坐落在南京东郊的紫金山南麓。其为明朝开国

皇帝朱元璋陵寝。

Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is one of the

biggest imperial tombs in China. It lies in the eastern suburbs of Nanjing City at the

southern foot of Zhongshan Mountain. Emperor Chengzu，Zhu Yuanzhang，the first

emperor of the Ming Dynasty was buried there.
