REFLECTIONS Ross Abramowitz

There were many positive experiences that sur-, faced during our struggle toward a successful first

semester of law school. These experiences ranged , from spending all-nighters completing our LSV

papers, to spending all-nighters partying at various ~· locations throughout South Florida. During all of

these adventures, I have noticed that one important thing has remained constant. The camaraderie of

4 my fellow students in my section and throughout our 1 L class has inspired us and drawn us together as

• a group. This feeling of solidarity is one that I have never experienced at any other time in my life. I

, look forward, with great enthusiasm, to spending the next 2 years surrounded by many of my fellow classmates who I now consider my great friends.

Edwynne Murphy Although difficult, the first year of law school has been rewarding in many ways. The friends I've

• made and the challenges met have been very gratifying. Being involved in activities like the

" Student Bar Association has made what proves to be a difficult year much more bearable. The

~ camaraderie and relaxed learning environment has made my transition from my MBA into law school a breeze.

Yuri Tsyganov Looking back on the first semester of law School at the Shepard Broad Law Center, I can safely say that it was the best time that I would never want to experience again. It feels as though it was yester-day, when we walked in to our first doctrinal class; nervous, excited, and not knowing what to expect. Initially, the amount of different personalities and backgrounds almost forced me to automatically start "labeling" each and every one of my class mates. In my head, I was thinking, "Well, this person I will most likely never talk to" , or, "I can see myself often disagreeing with him". Then the first person was called on by the professor (thank God it was not me). I think it was at that moment, that we all realized that in order to make this work, we would have to put our differences aside and work together in order to succeed. I was proud of how the students of my section quickly bonded and set aside their differences.

I think it's safe to say that at one point during this first year of law school, we've all. ..

Laughed, cried, complained, sighed, Wondered, questioned, whined,

But most importantly, shined!

The obstacles have been numerous, I really don't think anyone found memos or contracts to be quite humorous!

I can't help but to believe-This first yr. is just a springboard for all of us en route to our dreams.

This is one experience I know I will never forget. The fresh new faces have become close friends, now in our lives, never to omit.

Thank you for giving me the honor of representing YOU! I hope you will cherish this Face Book and the memories of our first year as I know I will do.
