We welcome Tyson and Rachel Raper in the FUMC congregation. They have transferred their membership from another Methodist Church in Auburn, Alabama. Tyson works with the University of Tennessee Research team at the experiment station. Rachel is a stay-at-home mom with their infant son, Anderson.
Anna James Taylor received the sacrament of holy baptism on Sunday, July 12, 2015. Anna is the daughter of Brian and Ashley Taylor and sister of big brother, Jack
Keegan Taylor received the sacrament of holy baptism on Sunday, July 19. He is the son of Marty and Heather Taylor and grandson of Jim and Jane Philips.
Advanced Study on the Apostle Paul’s Epistle to the Romans Thursdays starting August 136:30-8:00 p.m.Andrews Chapel Campus 3820 Brownsville Rd. Hwy 70 in Huntersville, TN
This course is a two-semester advanced study that will cover the entire Letter. Instructor/Leaders are Robert Hill, assisted by Rev. Paul Phillips, retired Methodist minister. Weekly reading and study assignments with modified lecture and class participation is desired. Light snack supper and beverages provided. Class size is limited to 20.

Dolores BoscoFUMC Welcomes New Staff Member
SPRC announces Dolores Bosco as the new Financial Assistant for the church. Dolores who has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Rutgers University has worked as an accountant for Town and Country Property Management in Jackson for the past eight years. Prior to that, she was the senior accountant for Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ from 1999-2006. She has also worked in accounting departments for manufacturing and retail businesses.Dolores has been a member of Jackson FUMC since 2007. She and her husband, Peter are the parents of three children: Louis , Allison and Andrew and they have seven grandchildren. Dolores enjoys gardening, has a passion for cooking and loves to travel (when she has time!).
We welcome Dolores on staff… if you haven’t had a chance to meet her, stop by her office to say “hi”!
Gospel Music Concert - Last summer our congregation was blessed by the music of Ulf Nilsson from Sweden. This year, Ulf and his TCB band will give a concert of Gospel and Rockabilly music on Sunday, August 9th at 7:00pm. Selections will include favorites such as How Great Thou Art, Lead Me Guide Me, and many more. The concert will be held in Clayton Hall. A love offering will be taken. You won’t want to miss this exciting evening of music!
