VI. NFPA Standard 1561 - Brunacini comments.

NFPA 1561 can become one system. Will meet with committee . . Merge ICS into Fire Command. Chief Coggan will coordinate. Same group will meet with NFA. Review documents, meet with Brunacini, and work on revisions.

Bragdon comments regarding NFPA, Brunacini, and change process. Don't change ICS.

Barrows comments, don, change ICS.

ORC concerns regarding adoption of present form of NFPA 1561.

VII. Operations Team Report

Operations Team North 1-220 letter of concern regarding prerequisites and qualifications (1/25/90). McFadden comments regarding history and development. Review was by SFM Train-the-Trainer Program. "Approved"rCertified" course by SFM.

Motion: Refer to Task Force (Training Specialist Group). Compare to 1-220 for "either/or" use. Keep In RRESCOPE Decision Process. ZeasorVWayne/carried.

Western Fire Chiefs Association Committee for development in wildland interface. July or August of 90 will publish book.

FIRESCOPE Awareness Seminar Handout. Cal Chiefs Meeting April 30-May 4 in Palm springs. Training Officers April 19 10 1 1/2 hours. Target audiences. Use in volunteers D. Barrows, C. Bragdon, J. Englund.

13 deaths in city. On duty 41 engines. Fragmented-first responders. Communications problems. Did not request Mutual Aid. Recall (voluntary) doubled manpower within 1 hour. No water pressure - drafted cistern. 27 fires, 1/4 major, 700+ incidents recorded. Major gas leaks. Major chemical spills. Used a museum piece. Minimal looting. Power loss.

Mutual Aid requests on hold until assessment of local area completed.

Adopted by Bd/Dir as a working document. Review Executive Summary Validate order of priority, page 4 Source of funds: OES Budget, Legislation, Federal 1988 Plan - need to bring up to date Back to Advisory Board before 3 directors get together Cover letter - plan in place

accomplishments identify 1988 dollars SB27 passed-when is year one in plan? 90-91 FY, 91-92 FY put the right date on it.

No need to change priorities at this time Make the document look different dollars-politically

Motion: Joint Chairs of Ops use FY 91-92 as year one of 5 Year Plan and prepare a status report and Record for Advisory Committee consideration. Zeason'Nobleslcarried.

Status include what was and was not done. Use Task Force to measure degree of accomplishment on specific projects. SFM letter to OES director.
