GLUP and Zoning – Current and
Proposed
• Existing Fire Station No. 8 parcel – No change from current S3-A
• Three parcels for temporary station change require GLUP amendment and rezoning from R-6 to S-3A
• S-3A:
– Consistent with permanent station S-3A zoning
– Allows for the program needs (i.e. by-right use, 45’ height maximum)
– Typically found adjacent to/surrounded by low residential areas
– Precedent: 5 of 10 stations in S3A
• Change GLUP for three parcels from “Low Residential’” to “Government and Community Facilities”, consistent with current FS parcel.
