Main ObjectiveFirst grade students will recite at least three fire safety rules. Students will
do so by learning to recognize warning sounds and signs of a fire by creating a fire safety poster and students will look, touch, and hear a
smoke detector. Students will learn how to call the emergency number 911 by listening and participating in a song. Students will learn the Stop, Drop, and Roll procedure by watching a video and participating in a role play game. Students will learn the escape plan for a fire drill by having a planned fire drill. Students will acquire at least 1-2 important duties of a
firefighter by listening to the firefighters talk about what they do and making fire hats pretending to be firefighters. First grade students will
have a five day time frame. All eighteen first grade students will participate, and it will be a one hundred percent degree of accuracy.
