VOLUNTARY PRE-KINDERGARTEN

Parents can sign their children up toparticipate at no charge in one of theVPK program options, by applyingonline at www.elcslc.org on ourParent Portal.

CHILDCARE RESOURCE &REFERRAL SERVICESOur resource & referral team connects allfamilies with childcare providers andvaluable community services FREE ofcharge, at 772-595-6363. We play an important role in educatingand connecting parents with appropriateresources and programs. Our state-certified specialists provide in-depth consumer education to parents,averaging 200 calls a day from familiesseeking information. We educate parentsand other caregivers about choosingquality childcare, offer referrals tocommunity agencies and early educationprograms and provide unbiasedcustomized childcare listings. Childcare practitioners can also getinformation about meeting licensingrequirements and become informed onhealth and safety, business practices andchild development.

SCHOOL READINESSSUBSIDIZED CHILDCARE

Working parents who earn low tomoderate income and/or attend schoolfull-time may qualify for financialassistance to pay a portion of their costsfor early learning childcare services forchildren from BIRTH to kindergarten age,and in some cases, up to age 13, throughour School Readiness Subsidized ChildcareProgram. You can easily apply online atwww.elcslc.org.

By giving young children theopportunity to experience a

quality early learningenvironment, we set the stagefor them to become ready for,

and successful in, school.

Registration for our Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten(VPK) Program is now open through onlineenrollment. This FREE program is open tochildren residing in Florida who will be fouryears of age on or before September 1, for theschool year in which they apply. VPK includesup to 540 hours of free education, which willprepare them for success by building a strongfoundation, using educational materials that fittheir developmental needs.
