What is a food forest? In a woodland ecosystem natural processes & cycles maintain the soil fertility and the health of the plants.
This environment with trees of different sizes & height, shrubs, herbaceous plants & different levels of shade and light, creates a variety of ecological niches & high productivity.
Martin CrawfordAgroforestry Research Trust UK
Growing food sustainably is becoming more & more important in
the light of our changing climate. Forest gardening is a way of working
with nature that is not only productive and requires minimal maintenance, but also has great
environmental benefits.
