I am to invite attention to the references cited.

2) In the Government Order first cited, orders have been issued revising thepension of Pensioners / Family Pensioners notionally with effect from 1-1-2006 andwith monetary benefit from 1-1-2007. The Principal Secretary / Commissioner ofTreasuries and Accounts has sought for certain clarifications in his letter secondcited. Under Sl.No.2 of the Government letter third cited, the presumption raised bythe Principal Secretary / Commissioner of Treasuries and Accounts that the

pensioners who were re-employed during the period from 01.01.06 to 31/05/09 arenot eligible for revision of pension and consequent arrears for the re-employedperiod was confirmed and it was clarified that revision of pension shall be made aftercessation of the re-employment period.

3) It has been brought to the notice of the Government that though thepension is being revised after cessation of the re-employment, the arrears forrevision of pension from the date it is given affect to till the date of cessation ofre-employment is not given by the Pension disbursing officers as per the clarificationmentioned above.

4) I am directed to issue the following clarification in regard to re-employmentpay fixation, revision of pension and disbursement of arrears of pension in respect ofGovernment employees who retired before 1.6.2009 and re-employed before1.6.2009 as follows.

(I) Pension shall be revised with effect from 1.1.2006 in case of retirement upto31.12.2005 and from the date on which pension was drawn in case of

retirement after 1.1.2006, whichever is applicable.(ii) Arrears for revision of pension shall be paid as per the orders issued in the

Government Order first cited, but after cessation of the re-employment.

(iii) However, re-employment pay fixed based on pre-revised pension, shall notbe revised with reference to revision of pension.

5. The Clarification issued under Sl.No.2 of the Government letter third citedstands withdrawn.
