You and your three friends go to lunch and find a deal on packages of 6 tacos.  You want to buy the minimum number of packages so you each get the same number of tacos and none are left over.  How many packages must you buy?

1st List the multiples of both numbers.

4: 4, 8,12,16, 20, 24, 286: 6,12,18, 24

2nd look for the smallest number they both have (LCM). 12

3RD Evaluate: to get 12 tacos I need to buy how many

packages? 2 packages of tacos
