OVERVIEW

Use this process to search and follow a sourcing event.

Trigger

Perform this process after creating a requisition requesting a sourcing event following the invitation to bid process.

PROCEDURE

1. Start the process to Find and Follow a Sourcing Event by selecting the Supply Management Viewer role.

2. Click the Strategic Sourcing main menu option.

3. Click the Manage Events from the menu items.

4. Click the Search tab.

5. Click and drag the Slider bar down until you see the Requisition search field.

6. Enter your search criteria then click Search.

7. Double-click any of the black text on the Event line to open the Event.

8. Click and drag the Slider bar down to see the remaining fields on this tab.

The Event tab shows us basic information about the Event including description, Event type, Buyer,

whether the event is displayed in the Supplier Portal, and the open and close dates of the Event.

12. Click the Terms tab.

13. Click the Meetings tab. The number at the end indicates the number of record on this tab.

14. Click the Attachments tab to review documents attached to the event.

15. Right-click on the blue Attachment hyperlink.

16. Click the Open in new tab menu item.

17. Click on the newly created browser tab to open it.

18. Click the X to close this browser tab and return to the Event document.

There are standard Acrobat Reader tools to Save the document to your computer, print it, email it, etc.

This bottom control bar allows you to select text, move forward and backward through the document, and

to change the document size on your screen.

19. Click the Contacts tab.

20. Click the Comments tab to view comments placed on the event.

21. Click the Lines * tab. The asterisk at the end indicates there are one or more records on this tab.

22. Now we'll take a small side trip and look at the contents of an Event line.

Double-click anywhere in the black text on an Event line to open it.

The tabs within an Event Line show us specific information that applies to that Event Line.

After reviewing the information on the Line tab, look at each of the remaining tabs to see what information they contain.

30. Click the Attachments tab.

31. Click your Browser's Back button.

Now that we have reviewed an Event line we'll return and review the rest of the Event tabs.

32. Click the Notifications (50) tab.

The (50) at the end indicates that 50 supplier contacts have been notified of this event.
