Many of the Roanoke Valley area’s leading artists live
and create their work in scenic Botetourt County.
This fall, 16 Botetourt artists have joined with the
Botetourt County Office of Tourism for the first annual
self-guided tour of artists’ working studios. You will
have the rare opportunity to visit the artists in their
private workspaces; see rich and varied works, both
completed and in progress. You will have a chance
to purchase original work directly from the creators,
with an understanding of the tools and materials
used to create them. Whether you are a collector,
or simply curious about art, this is an opportunity
to meet local artists, visit their studios and purchase
original and creative works of fine craftsmanship
directly from the creators.
The artist studios are at various locations in the county.
This brochure provides information about the artists, a
map with their studio locations, samples of their work,
and contact information. Each artist’s site will have a
flag/banner on the road to help you find us on your
tour. Artists will be glad to assist you with directions in
getting from one studio to another. Visit one studio or
all of them, just enjoy the weekend, your scenic drive
and the art and artists along the way.
