Christ is Born Sunday, December 25th at 10:45 am
Christmas morning celebration in worship. A very special, warm, family worship time .
Welcome to our Guest Preacher, Rev. Keith Walker
Dear Smithwood Friends,
How good it is for me and Jody to be with you to share worship this Christmas season! Smithwood holds a special place in our hearts. You were pa-tient and kind to us as I cut my teeth in ministry
in the late seventies as your Minister of Education and Youth, and ex-pressed confidence in me and my calling by ordaining me to the gos-pel ministry in 1980. Both our boys were born during those years.
Missions would become a big part of my life as our youth group ven-tured to South Dakota for three consecutive years. I left to serve a pioneer mission church in Flint, Michigan, and later to the NAMB. I have also been blessed to serve in several churches in several capaci-ties until I retired as pastor of First Baptist Church of Pigeon Forge.
Thank you for taking a chance on me so many years ago. I am very grateful. Merry Christmas!
Brother Keith

There will be a basket for cards and well wishes.
Congratulations to Sarah Bennett upon her graduation from Carson-Newman Universi-ty. Sarah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in General Psychology. She plans to continue her education, pursuing a Master of Science in Counseling with a con-centration in Clinical Mental Health.
The Evangelistic and Outreach Committee would like to thank all
those who brought food and helped to welcome our visitors fol-
lowing the choir Christmas program. It was a wonderful success
and we appreciate each and every one of you.
There will be a brief business meeting immediately following the morning worship service on Sun-day, December 18th. This will be to approve housing allowances for Jimbo Watson and Mike Bundon, in compliance with IRS regulations.
