Santander

Headland has worked with Santander since their takeover of Alliance & Leicester in 2008. The primary focus of our work with Santander is the Internet Bill Payment website. Internet Bill Pay (IBP) – allows business and personal customers to make online bill payments to UK bill issuers via debit and credit card. Headland specified designed and built the original application.

The site has been refreshed and upgraded several times since launch and is the bank’s primary online payment offering to local authorities, utility companies and government departments.

Headland has produced white label versions of the application for a number of other authorities, Glasgow City Council, Sheffield City Council, The Planning Portal and others.

International Payments (IPay) – application enables existing customers to pay companies abroad. Internet Bill Payment has accepted over £1 billion of customer payments during its busiest ever week.

Key technical and design challenges include security – as the applications transmit and store card details they must be PCI DSS compliant. High Demand & Resilience – applications are hosted on multiple servers at two different geographical locations.

In addition we worked with the Santander team on numerous third party integrations:

• 3D Secure (MasterCard Secure Code and Verified by Visa)

• Merchant Acquiring (real time card authorisation and funds transfer)

• Reporting into internal Santander systems

The Law Society

The sizable brief from the Law Society began with a series of stakeholder workshops leading to a detailed technical specification. Followed by the development and delivery of an Ektron CMS driven, transactional website integrating data from multiple sources.

Throughout the development process we worked in partnership with the Society’s in-house project team. Our development team designed and built all of the customisations needed to deliver the site’s features. Adopting an agile approach ensured that there was continuous delivery, with showcases at key intervals to give the Society the opportunity to review development. Headland developers integrated a number of data feeds using APIs, web services and XML feeds to incorporate data from other applications within the Society’s web portfolio.

CAMEO Dynamic

Callcredit are a market-leading data business. They approached us to develop a website for their market segmentation product, CAMEO. We were tasked to display the complex data behind the product using an intuitive engaging interface, and bring the brand to life with a simple and engaging online experience.

The website provides a unique marketing insight, segmenting over 50 million consumers across the United Kingdom. The site is highly dynamic and changes the way marketers view consumer data and market segmentation. In addition to the website, Headland also designed the CAMEO logo and artwork, along with a range of brochures and marketing materials.

Callcredit Information Group

The Nottingham Building Society

The Nottingham Building Society

Headland worked with The Nottingham for seven years up to December 2015 designing the first three iterations of the mutual website, providing managed hosting, creative and technical support. The most recent of the three websites established a step change in the organisations online business.

The site delivered a significant increase in online applications and for the first time brought together the three strands of the business: the estate agency, insurance and the building society divisions. The adoption of an enterprise level CMS (Ektron.NET) was an integral part of the transformation to a digital business platform.

The website design promoted the mortgage, savings, insurance and estate agency online channels, it also played a pivotal role in The Nottingham’s community and social media activity.

In terms of functionality the site featured online applications and integration for mortgages and savings products and the estate agency channel homes for sale or rent feed. The nature of support to The Nottingham included:

The Nottingham Building Society First Response

First Response Finance Ltd

First Response is an award-winning UK finance company focused on providing simple financial solutions to consumers throughout the UK. The primary product offering is Hire Purchase for motor vehicles, including; used cars, motorbikes and vans, however, also offered are Personal Loans to existing customers.  

Aiming to refine the online communication of their product benefits as an award winning service provider but with limited awareness of their model, Headland was briefed to carry out a programme of workshops to review the existing First Response website, establishing the stakeholder objectives and inform a new UX design to be carried out by the Headland design team.

Our process established the key benefits to communicate were the businesses three steps to motor insurance, their flagship product, the simplicity of taking out a policy and the statistics available that endorse the quality of their service. We felt for a challenger brand it was important to present these benefits front and centre on the homepage.

The full scope of the brief to Headland included discovery workshops, UX design, responsive front end development, the creation of a finance calculator and the design of the application process.

Brandon Hill Capital is a small, perfectly formed merchant bank providing clients with integrated, independent advice on corporate finance, equity research, equity sales and corporate broking services to UK and overseas publicly-quoted companies and financial institutions.

Headland has worked closely with the chairman for a number of years supporting of Brandon Hill Capital other portfolio activities with online marketing, design and technical advice and services. The Brandon Hill site is a simple brochure site built on the Umbraco CMS and is the most recent site designed and built for the client.

Prosperis

Prosperis

Prosperis is a regional Independent Financial Adviser & Employee Benefit Consultant based in Leeds. They offer innovative and objective advice, forming valued relationships with their clients, both businesses and high net worth individuals.

Headland has worked with Prosperis for five years designing and building the first two iterations of their public facing website. The site is a simple brochure site built on the Umbraco CMS and optimised to target prospects in the financial planning/financial adviser space.

Data capture forms submit enquiry data securely to the CRM email marketing application developed by Headland. Email marketing is a key pillar of their communication strategy to both existing Prosperis clients and prospects. All databases are managed and campaigns tracked and reported through the Headland MailManager platform.
