Page 2: Final script for Trailer

Scene 1Footage of Adams baby pictures and passports. This shows his identity, brings his past to link to his future and is also relevant to the Doctors Audio script which will be playing at this time. These shots will set the equilibrium which will follow Todorovs narrative theory. Medium shots will be used mostly and it will be filmed with the background of a wooden kitchen table as this is plain but nice to look at.

Scene 2Adam will be in a dark study, stalking Nicole on Facebook. I decided to use Facebook as the social networking site because its known on a large scale, worldwide therefore not only will it add a sense of realism because its so familiar to them but its perfect because it displays personal information. I got my inspiration from a website called ‘Take the lollipop’, which gives you a personal experience of being stalked.- to make people aware to put there Facebook settings on private. Your pictures are used in this personal video and its very creepy. I will do something similar, being sure to use key aspects such as low key lighting and certain angle types so a silhouette is created in the bright light of the glowing, blue Facebook page. This will be used to show Adam in his home and will show were his obsession grew and blossomed.

Scene 3I will film various shots of Adam acting shifty, this will set the personality of his character and show the audience he is the villain. I want to make it obvious as I'm following Propps Character Theory. I will also have him travelling, in the car I will do shots out the window of woods and country lanes, this will suggest wherever he is going he is in an isolated place, this will also reflect his own loneliness.

Scene 4Nicole will be in the bath on the phone to a friend. Low key lighting will be used and lots of candles will be lit, not only for a source of light but also to create a calm, tranquil atmosphere. As she gets off the phone she will go underwater to wash her hair, using a Go Pro we will see from her view underwater looking up and she will see a masked figure flicker over the bath. As she comes out the water all the candles will be off and the lights will be on which confirms her mind wasn't playing tricks on her and someone was in there. I will aim to get a variety of shots, close ups of the taps and her turning on a radio could be effective, giving me the opportunity to add a soundtrack over the top and make it sound like it was diegetic sound. I would also like to record the sound of running water as it can be quite eerie.

Scene 5

I will create a “missing girl” poster or news article which can flash up on screen. This will establish and confirm the disequilibrium - An aspect of the narrative when following Todorovs theory.

Scene 6I will film Nicole in the cellar, she will be tied up to a chair and gagged so it enhances the feel of isolation. It will also make her look more vulnerable as no one will be able to hear her. the cellar will need to look quite dirty so it looks like she doesn't fit in, i will use establishing shots to achieve this. There will be various shots of her struggling and close ups to show her fear and frustration.

Scene 7Nicole will be running through the woods and fields, to show she is trying to escape from something or someone. I might contrast these to the scenes of her in the cellar to contrast the two different scenes and show a sense of confusion and it makes her look a bit delusional. In these shots she will be wearing baggy/flowing clothes to enhance the feel of freedom. Levi Strauss theory will be relevant here as in these scenes they’ll be very wide, open shots and in the cellar, she will be in a small room, trapped and confined.

scene 8This will be my final shot, i want to end it on a shot of Adam wearing his mask, and placing the Go Pro like a security camera from a high angle. I want Adam to nod and reach up at the camera and go to grab it, then i can make the screen fade to black and it’ll be the end. I feel like this could be really effective because it’ll leave the audience on a cliff hanger and there will be lots of enigma.

Scene 9

I will film some shots down Old Amersham hughstreet, I'm not sure if i will use them but they’ll be useful to pad about the trailer if i need it and it will show my characters in a natural, everyday atmosphere.
