Final Project Brief: “Tell a story about your Prototype!” The Brief: Assignment 3 was about synthesizing your ideas and within that you have used certain methods to ideate and to innovate your prototype! As your final project, tell a story about it. Make your prototype into a star! Create a short film about your prototype and make your prototype an important part of your story. Below is the criterion for your movie. Criteria:

1. This is a team based project 2. blog - progress ( 1 post per week) -

IDJ 3. story - story structure (basic) - video 4. must place emphasis on the

prototype

Movie categories: • Educational – informational,

inspirational • Musical – song and dance, music

videos • Entertainment – humour, pranks,

fun stuff! • Documentary – biographical,

process, time-lapse

Style and genre: • sci-fi • comedy • historical • action • horror

Mandatory criteria • Must be uploaded to youtube and

obtain a minimum of 200 views! • Length of movie - 5 minutes. Keep

lecturers informed if more than 5 minutes.

• Must have opening credits and end credits

• Include subtitles • Must have clear audio (use a valid

microphone or find a way) • Must use original music or royalty

free music and soundtrack! (See this website: www.jamendo.com)

Blog progress posts (very important!): 28th October - Brief 4th November - storyline - confirm proposal - shoot and make Holiday week – continue work - we respond online to progress reviews and Q&A 18th November - editing begins & supplementary material 25th November - complete and upload - share online FB 11th December 2015 online assessment Total assessment marks: 40% Individual marks: 10% This will be based on evidence of individual proposals presented within the team. prior to selecting the prototype which will be used for the movie. Current marking rubric applies. Group marks: 30% This will be based on teamwork for all aspects of the production. Current rubric will refer to the progress blogging and final outcome.
