REGISTRATION POLICYAll attendees and authors are REQUIRED to register. Nonmember authors may register at the member rate. Badges are required for admittance to the technical sessions, exhibit and social functions.

STUDENT REGISTRATION POLICYStudent registration must meet eligibility requirements. UCA of SME requires that an individual must be attending a college/university/higher education institution on a full-time basis to qualify for student registration rates. SME cannot process student registrations without evidence that you are a full-time student. Students enrolled in 12 or more semester credit hours are considered full-time.

CANCELLATION POLICYIf circumstances require you to cancel your registration, you must do so in writing. Written notice must be sent to UCA of SME Meetings Department, 12999 E. Adam Aircraft Circle, Englewood, CO 80112 USA. Cancellations postmarked on or before October 10, 2016 will receive a full refund, less a $100 processing fee. There are no refunds for no-shows and cancellations postmarked after October 10, 2016. Regis-trants are responsible for cancellation of their own hotel accommodations.

Field TripLA Metro – Crenshaw/LAX Transit Project Wednesday, November 9 Departure: 7:30 am Return: No later than 11 am Following a safety indoctrination, the tour will be conducted at the Exposition Station on Metro’s Crenshaw Corridor Transportation Project currently under construction. Exposition Station is the most northerly situated cut-and-cover underground transit station and is the access location for all tunnel activities. There are three underground stations located along the route of the twin light-rail subway tunnels beneath Crenshaw Blvd. Visitors will be able to observe the concurrent construction activities associated with underground station structural concrete work and how this work is scheduled with the tunnel operations.

The visit will demonstrate the tunnel train activities of muck handling and precast segment handling while working out of the main station footprint. The site visit will afford an opportunity to view street traffic decking operations, support of excavation and utility support work beneath the traffic street decking and coordination of public and private business and community relationships.

The trip will include tour, transportation and a light snack. Attendees are advised to wear sturdy shoes, no tennis or dress shoes. WSCC will provide hardhats, safety glasses, gloves and vests.
