CONCEPT

Here we work on the thought of automatic Parking fee collection and display the number of parking available at parking site and the exact vacant slot position. In this when you are at the parking site, you see the number of parking available at the entry gate, if it is available then swap card at the entry, the gate is open for few second and parking fee is credited from your card. When you exit from this same process is followed. This card is used for parking application only. Here we use only its model, so we use IR sensor for this application. This parking system may be applicable for whole city using a magnetic card reader.

WorkingoIn this project we have used sets of IR sensors.oThe output of the IR sensors is analog type and is changed into digital form by using op-amp IC LM324.oThe IR sensor is used to sense the presence or absence of any vehicle at the entrance or exit gate.oThere is a RF receiver provided which receives the RF data present in tag of the user. oThe data received by the system is used to check the balance of a particular user.oIf balance is greater than 50 then the system allows the user to enter by opening the entrance gate which is controlled by motor.oIf balance is not present then the system waits for the recharge button to be pressed.oUpon pressing the recharge button, the entrance gate is opened.

PROBLEM SOLUTION

Car Parking Management Systemin real world

• Car parking spaces are fast becoming one of the most scarce resources in the work place and require considerable time and effort to manage.

• Intelligent parking allows just 3 steps- Park, Swipe, Leave.

• Eliminates most of the hassles of conventional parking.

•Automated exit pay stations enables accurate, secure, and prompt fee calculation.

DC Motor: A direct current (DC) motor is a fairly simple electric motor that uses electricity and a magnetic field to produce torque, which turns the motor. At its most simple, a DC motor requires two magnets of opposite polarity and an electric coil, which acts as an electromagnet. The repellent and attractive electromagnetic forces of the magnets provide the torque that causes the DC motor to turn.

LM324: Low Power Operational AmplifierThese devices consist of four independent high-gain frequency-compensated operational amplifiers that are designed specifically to operate from a single supply over a wide range of voltages.

RF Module:An RF Module (Radio Frequency Module) is a small electronic circuit used to transmit and/or receive radio signals on one of a number of carrier frequencies. Main tasks of the RF module are to send an energizing signal via the antenna. The RF module delivers a digital data stream and a clock signal for further processing to its control unit or module.

RF Module can be categorized into two parts :

Transmitter

Receiver

APPLICATIONSThis project is basically an intelligent counter which keeps a count of the number of the things crossing by and takes appropriate actions if required to. It is a versatile project with application in almost every field, be it residential or industrial. It is a very unique system with many features and these kinds of systems are not readily available in market. Some of its major applications are listed below:

•This system will also have lots of application in industries. It can be used to do counting boxes, cartoons, jars during the process of packing/ manufacturing.

•It can be used to keep a track of baggage on the baggage rails used in airports
