The Argus measures 16 inches high by 10.25 inches wide. The following advertising optionsand rates will be in effect from July 1, 2009 until April 30, 2010:

The Argus allows for specic advertisement placement requests when available. An additional 10% fee will be applied when givenspace is available; otherwise the Argus reserves the right to place the ad at its best discretion. Specic advertisement placement mustbe conrmed no less than 48 hours prior to the Friday advertisement material deadline.

2. Book 10 Consecutive ads for 15% off your totaladvertising package, plus you will receive 1 week of free colour advertising, and receive free ad placementfor 3 issues*

3. Book 20 or more Consecutive issues for 20% off yourtotal advertising package and receive 2 weeks of freecolour advertisements, and specic ad placement in 5issues*

* Free colour can only be applied when extra colour space is availableat the request of the advertiser. Specic ad placement locationscannot always be guaranteed due to limited space; thus, they must 

be conrmed no less than 48 hours prior to the Friday advertisement material deadline.

Are you too busy or unsure how to spice up your advertisement? Welthere is no need to worry, leave all of the creative work to us! TheArgus will design your custom advertisement for a one time fee of $40All advertisement designs will require your approval before publicationso you can rest assured that we will run a high quality representativeadvertisement for you and your organization. Advertisement designsmust be conrmed no less than 48 hours before the advertisingdeadline.

Technical specifcations

• The Argus utilizes Adobe Photoshop• All advertisements must be submitted in Acrobat PDF, JPG, or Tiff formats

• All advertisements must be sized and print ready when submitted• Ads not in image format (such as MS word) have to be re-createdand will include a charge for graphic design

Contract Terms

• All advertisements must be approved through a signed contract

by both the Argus and the advertiser before the advertisement ispublished.

• Total prices are subject to GST.• Advertisement materials are to be prepared by the advertiserand received by no later than 1 P.M. Friday before publishing.No exceptions will be made.

• Advertisements that are not print ready may be subject to anadditional 10% fee.

• Ads must be approved and signed before insertion if not cameraready.

• The Argus is a part of the Lakehead University Student Union(LUSU) and reserves the right to refuse publication of anyadvertising material that goes against LUSU policies.
