Seonjeongneung comprises of the Seonneung Royal Tomb and the Jeongneung Royal Tomb. There are numerous small hills with clusters of trees that create a border between the mystery and serenity of the royal tombs and the hustle and bustle of downtown Seoul. 2. Sungnyemun Gate is the largest castle gate stone structure with an arched entrance in the middle. Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace is also commonly referred to as the Northern Palace because it is the furthest north when compared to the neighboring palaces of Changdeokgung (Eastern Palace) and Gyeongheegung (Western Palace).
