Decisions that weren’t included in our planning

Originally, we hadn’t planned to film in Oxford Street, but as it was a more suitable location for the music video. We decided to get multiple establishing shots.

What problems did you encounter in filming? How did you solve them?

When editing, we noticed that we didn’t have as much footage as we needed. In order to solve this, we did another day of filming and a run through of the whole

song with all of the girls. By doing this, we knew that we would be adding more lip-syncing and performance elements to the music video. It also then allowed us to selectively take parts from footage of each person and then slot them into the sections where it was either needed as there were too many narrative shots or to go into any blank spaces that we had. Overall, adding the new lip-syncing in made the music video look more realistic as it made it less narrative based and allowed us to be more adventurous with our shots, which we were then able to add to the final product.
