Filming and Photography Permit Application 2017/2018 Filming and photography Permits for areas managed by Parks Victoria Processing time for a complete filming and photography permit application does depend on the nature of the proposal; please allow up to three weeks. Applications received with less than five full working days’ notice will incur a late processing fee. Please note, Parks Victoria cannot guarantee a permit will be able to be issued within this timeframe. Complete applications are to be emailed to [email protected] Upon receipt of your permit application a Parks Victoria officer will contact you to discuss the availability of your requested site and to identify any further information that may be required in order to process your application. Submitting a filming and photography permit application does not guarantee that it will be approved. When reviewing your application Parks Victoria staff will consider the suitability of the proposed location for the production and confirm that the proposed activity can be permitted under the host park’s regulations. The filming and photography permit system enables Parks Victoria staff to better manage activities occurring in our parks, to protect environmental, cultural and social values, while ensuring film crews and photographers are directed to the most suitable locations for their productions. Subject to your application being approved, an invoice will be issues based on the Fee Schedule outlined in Section 3 of this form. Full payment is due prior to a permit being issued. 3. Schedule of fees 2017/2018

The following fee schedule applies for Filming & Photography Permits on Parks Victoria managed estate. Some exceptions apply.

Please note:

A bond may apply and is set at the discretion of the host park. Parking fees for vehicles (where metered parking is enforced) are not included in the fee structure. Road closures fees at Albert Park are not included in the fee structure. The listed fees are in AUD and GST inclusive. Additional fees or charges may apply where additional costs are incurred by Parks Victoria over and above

those set out in the schedule of fees, e.g. additional ranger supervision incurred after the Permit is signed. Accommodation and transport costs incurred as a result of Parks Victoria’s staff supervision or management

of the activity will be on-charged to the permittee.

*Please note, if your production is only for wedding photography, this document might not be required. Please submit the application form and wait for further instructions from a Parks Victoria representative. All non-wedding photography applications must provide the full list of mandatory documents, otherwise the application is considered incomplete.

If hold & release of traffic/pedestrians is proposed or a full closure of a track or road, you must provide a Traffic Management Plan

If drones/RPA are proposed, you must provide the following documents. Please note that permits will not be issued to unlicensed operators even if you are proposing to use a RPA which is under 2kg:

UAV/RPA Controller Licences for all proposed operators

UAV/RPA Operator’s Certificate issued by CASA

Certificate of Currency of UAV/RPA Liability Insurance

Job Safety Analysis relevant to the proposed production and location

List of types/models of proposed aircraft and serial numbers

Detailed aircraft operations plan outlining:

Take-off and landing zones

Proposed flight path

Proposed exclusion zones

Location of spotters and demarcation signs

CASA area approval (if required)

If your production involves children, please consider your obligations under the Working with Children Act 2005. Developing a Child Protection Plan is recommended.

Resident Notification Letter – typically requested for productions with impacts outside of the park such as noise or road closures.

Police Filming Notification Form (formerly ESTA) is to be submitted to Victoria Police for any scenes involving Firearms, Weapons and Special Effects, Private Traffic Management, General Filming - Generic Police Scenes & any Scenes Causing Public Concern.
