PurposeThe purpose of this trailer is to show people a snippet of what the movie is like. It is making people develop the opinion whether this will be a good movie when it comes out or not. It also makes them think of a decision whether they should go to the cinemas on the day that it comes out to watch it.The video is appealing to the audience by putting some of the good parts into the movie and also introducing the characters involved and telling them what one character has and what one character wants.This film trailer is to promote the actual film and to also generate more income from people attending the cinema to watch it.

ContentThere are a lot of camera shots used within the trailer. There are so many transitions from wide shots, to mid shots and to close up shots as well and also two shots of two different characters.

The dialogue of the trailer was scripted to suit the brief storyline of the trailer of what the movie is about.

The scenes are set in different locations. One location is in a car park, where one character is cleaning the other character’s car. That location has been selected because people who work in businesses (in which one of the characters does) are likely to park within a car park. Another scene is set inside the house. This is maybe to show the success of one of the main characters.

The characters used and that are involved in the movie are Kevin Hart and Will Ferrell. They are two known famous individuals for comedy. In a way this will attract more people to the actual movie because these are the two main characters.

The meaning of this trailer is a taster of what the storyline is about. As people can see, it is about a rich person called James King (Will Ferrell) who is arrested for fraud and has 30 days till he goes to a maximum security prison and he has to be trained to ‘survive’ in it by Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart).

There may be themes hidden within this trailer, which may be carried out throughout the whole of the movie. Themes that may be involved would be Progression, Power and many more.

The target audience that this was aimed at were people who liked comedy films, which are normally a young audience aged 15-25 years. The gender that this movie is more likely to appeal to is males because males are more likely to watch comedy depending on the sense of humour they have. The socio economic group that this movie would aim at is more likely Group E, where groups such as students and the unemployed live in. also it would aim at higher groups such as Group D, which are groups such as community workers.
