A star rating is presented at the end to sum up the review and give a overall score. It isn't oversized like some magazine which makes you read the review instead of glancing at the score given. It is rated out of 5 which is common for review websites and magazines. The background for the double page spread is a still from the actual movie. This gives it a more professional feel to the review and focuses more on the content provided. The issue date of the magazine and the name is presented at the bottom along with the page number. The image used is used in conjunction with the review strap line which is ‘A chick flick with serious bite’. This relates to the film being about vampires but also engages the audience and makes them get an interest into what the ‘serious bite’ is. The review is written in a small font and is laid out in columns which is typical for a film review in a magazine or newspaper. The text is infront of the image with no distractions in the background so the text is clearly readable and allows the reader attention not to be drawn elsewhere. The title of the film is in bold and makes it stand our from the rest of the text. It is the same colour as the rest of the text of the page and gives it a classy and glamorous look to it.

The title of the film is usually the main title followed by a strap line

linked to the movie.

A rating for the film is given in picture form., this

is so the audience can easily see the rating and if

its high they may seem interested and read or go

watch the film reviewed,This is followed

by credits for the film itself, containing the length of

the film, director and actors involved.

A picture or still from the movie is normally included within the review to

help visualise the film. This contains the main character and shows her in water

which links to the storyline.

The author of the article normally puts his name at the end, sometimes with just his

name or with using ‘by’.

A quote is one of the main conventions in magazine

reviews. These can either be from the film itself or of what

the author of the review is saying. This quote is

important as could be the deciding factor is someone reads it or not so will either

support the film or not.

To show it is is a magazine, the title of the magazine or

page name is normally shown with the page number.

Magazine release dates differ for it may be weekly or

monthly and this could be shown here.

Other films are in bold which stand out from the rest of the text and break up the text for the reader.

This is sometimes used to illustrate actors or a main

topic/name.

The column layout is used here and is the favorite layout with magazines and reviews. This

visually breaks up the text and is the norm in newspapers and helps the reader identity with

what they are reading.

A summary of what on different pages in the magazine. This

helps readers navigate through the mag and takes them to the

content that they want.

Other films the reader may have watched will also like this one. This is a good comparison to include as it easily is seen by the reader and

entices them into the review.

In short, it is a short paragraph to sum up the film if the reader doesn't have

the time or want to read it. It is located at the end of the review in bold to differ itself from the main

review.

Screen is the name of their film reviews and this is

positioned at the top of the page and in the biggest font

size. It is followed with a scale of the stars and how many stars represent what

for the film.

One page is taken up of a still from the movie

being reviewed. It doesn't take the whole page and allows for our feature to be included

to get the readers attention.

A sticker like circle is used to show the

audience that this is ‘Movie of the month’.

This is normally seen in more informal

magazines and ones that are less about

depth of content but more about opinions

and short articles which are easily readable.
