Layout

The layout uses straight lines which links to its appearance conforming to other reviews found in magazines. The page appears full and detailed due to the volume of text on the page this may encourage some but discourage others to begin reading. Most review contain thin columns as this for easy reading and provides more white space on the page giving the appearance that there is less text. The image is large and therefore a big focus point to draw atterntion to the page. The title does not draw attention. Here It only provides the reader with the name of the film.

Writing

Link others it includes the main information about the film in a marked out section for the reader. The pull quote would be encouraging for the reader to take time in the other text because of the use of the words ‘finding the pulse of humanity.’ This gives the impression that it is an entertaining piece because it is dramatic and also provides an insight into the tone of the review, which is positive.
