My poster analysis Firstly I have decided to design a character poster with the films main character standing dark in the background. By using a character poster the audience is able to recognise important figures within the film. I decided to follow several film poster conventions. Firstly with the image the model is centred in the middle of the poster, showing the importance of the character. He is looking towards the viewer to make the audience feel as though they are being watched by this devious character. I decided to use as mid-shot as I thought it would be appropriate to have the characters facial expressions shown clearly, but also his uniform which implies his role as a teacher and associates with the school theme. You are able to see his full posture and face which appears intimidating. The title and the taglines are in blood red, red having connotations of death and danger

My poster analysis

Firstly I have decided to design a character poster with the films main character standing dark in the background.

The title and the taglines are in blood red, red having connotations of death and danger which are included within the film. Furthermore the blood splattered on the left reflects the murderous nature of the film. It suggest that the film is going to include scenes of murder and gore, and having it splattered suggest a violent death.

Half of his face is darker, as though he is in the shadows. I’m portraying the character as a mysterious person, perhaps a man of secrets and enigma. It also reflects the dark nature of the film, revolving around murder and darkness.
