It highlights the level of interactivity the characters have with the public, encouraging more people to also join in with the crowd, and with the hype of the film. By having a series of trailers advertising the films all having different durations it gives people a variety to watch. By letting out the teaser trailer on the 22nd March, 5 months before the film was released it allows people to become aware that it exists, it is a very short vague trailer giving hardly any of the plot away leaving people guessing which excites people.

By releasing the Official Trailer of the film it gives people more of an insight into what it is about so lasts longer because it consists of more footage. It gives away the key message of the film but still leaves a sense of mystery to ensure that it leaves people wanting to see the rest of the film.

The Official Trailer 2 is an added trailer which is very similar to the official trailer but contains extra information about Bridget Jones’s Baby.
