There is a large dark space behind the main

character, this shows that the unknown iscloser than they think.

It also suggests that at some point somethingwill creep out from that darkness without thecharacter realising, which makes the audienceconstantly on edge.

Editing

During the credits the editing is fast, makingthe audience think the film will be fast pacedand thrilling.

Mis-en-scene

It starts in an average suburban area, filled with

happy looking people, which lures the audience

into a false sense of security. However the colours are dark, which is

more typicalof a thriller, as well as occasional flashes

of light,which gives the impression of the

supernatural, orsomething extraordinary.
