ObituaryMr. Hope Rogers, Jr. known as "Mr. Hope", the eldest

child of five children born to the late Hope and Clara Rogers,was born February 28, 1931 in Henry County, McDonough,GA. He was educated in the Atlanta Public School System,graduating from Davld t T, Howard High School in 1950.During his early life, Hope, Jr. accepted Christ by joining'Lizzie Chapel Baptist Church under the Pastorate ofReverend Biggs.

Mr. Hope, served in the United States Army during theKorean War from 1950 thru 1953 with an honorabledischarge, later joining The U.S. Army Reserves where heserved with full Military Honors and receiving a Bronze Star.

Mr. Hope's passion was bartendering. He was aprofessional bartender working at several bars in theBuckhead area. He was best known for working at Dugan'sBar and Grill on Ponce De Leon Ave for over Twenty-fiveyears. He was a quiet man, low key, and not to many frills,who loved his patrons and always had a good conversationwith them. He served the best drinks in town. Patronsalways came back looking for Mr. hope. He had a voice thatmade you think that you were so special. He was just thattype of fellow.

Mr. Hope was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, andgreat grandfather, father-in-law and brother. He was adedicated family man. He was united in holy matrimony tohis beloved, the late Miriam Hancock for fifty years until herdeath. Hope is the proud father of five children: Son,Michael Rogers, Daughters: Chiquita Rogers, TheonitaFannin, Chandra Moreland and Monica Holloway (Aaron),Grandchildren: Eric Moreland, Jacinda Brown, and DeionteFannin, Arianna and Aaron Holloway, Great grandchild;Cedric Brown, Brothers: Mr. Walter Rogers (Olevia), Mr.Jerrell Rogers (Edith), Sisters: Mrs. Catherine R. Wood andMrs. Eufaula R. Barron, nieces, nephews, cousins and manyother relatives and friends.
