    All protective gear will be provided at the competition venue, with the exception of mouth guards,

    1. LIST OF ILLEGAL MOVES & TECHNIQUES

    The following actions are not permitted at any time during the match. Participants failing to

    observe the listed rules and regulations will incur its corresponding penalties as described in

    PART III 1.1

    PENALTY TYPE DESCRIPTION

    (a) A formal warning given to a fighter, following an illegal move/ technique.

    Earning a penalty of this kind, following two initial formal warnings within

    the duration of the match will constitute to a disqualification.

    i) Hand-striking the opponent with non-padded areas of gloves. (a)

    Only close fist strikes are PERMITTED

    ii) Head-butting the opponent. (a)

    iii) Intentional eye-gouging / poking / fishing of any kind onto the opponent.

    Pressing onto any kind of wound or orifice with finger onto the opponent.

    iv) Biting the opponent (a)

    v) Striking the groin of the opponent. (a)

    vi) Grabbing of the opponents Gi to execute or attempt a choke technique. (a)

    vii) Striking the back of the head of the opponent. (a)

    viii) Peeling or tearing the opponents gloves or other protective equipment. (a)

    ix) Refusal to engage in the fight (e.g. constantly running / turning away, time

    wastage. (a)

    x) No Flying Elbow or Knee technique/ techniques. (a)

    xi) Knee striking to the any part of the body on a grounded opponent. (a)

    xii) Arguing with the Ring Referees decision at any time throughout the match. (a)

    xiii) Continuing to strike the opponent when his/her head gear is compromised from

    its safe & correct position. (a)

    NOTE:

    - The affected fighter should immediately raise his/her hand to gain the Ring

    Referee assistance.

    - Only start the fight again with the ring referees command, signal and

    permission. (Both fighters have to face each other prior to be given the Fight

    starting command)

    PENALTY TYPE DESCRIPTION

    (b) An immediate disqualification given to a fighter, following an illegal

    move/technique.

    xiv) Choking with open hand on the throat, pressing on opponents trachea. (b)

    xv) Grabbing or pressing down on the opponents clavicle with open hand

    technique. (b)

    xvi) Strangling the neck of the opponent with open hand (b)

    xvii) Spitting in the arena throughout the match. (b)

    xviii) Deliberate intention to break the knee joint with Elbow to the knee striking. (b)

    xix) Verbal or physical vulgarities either to opponent, ring referee, any match

    officials, crew members and audience throughout the match. (b)

    xx) Deliberate striking to the front knee-joint of the opponent. (b)

    xxi) No manipulation of small joints (e.g. fingers. toes) (b)

    xxii) No neck cranking action/actions, techniques. (b)

    xxiii) Striking along the spine (back-bone) and neck of the opponent. (b)

    xxiv) Knee-striking to the head region of a standing opponent.

    xxv) Knee-striking the head region of a grounded opponent. (b)

    xxvi) Intentionally applying additional force in a KUNCIAN or SUBMISSION position

    whilst executing the technique with pure intention of breaking the opponents

    joint/joints. (b)

    xxvii) Elbow-striking the head region of the opponent at any time. (b)

    xxviii) Kicking/stomping the head region a grounded opponent. (b)

    xxix) Kicking/stomping a grounded opponent. (b)

    No leg strikes are allowed from the grounded contender too, only leg push.

    xxx) Taking-down the opponent (e.g. throwing) in a Pile-Driver fashion (head-first).

    xxxi) Heel hook lock is prohibited. (b)

    xxxii) Any technique of rotating, turning or twisting the knee joint to force for a

    submission. (b)

    xxxiii) Refusal to release the opponents from a KUNCIAN, LOCK or SUBMISSION

    when instructed by the Ring Referee. (b)

    xxxiv) Continuing to strike the grounded opponent after 30 seconds time cap

    permitted by the ring referee. (b)

    Continuing to strike the opponent when his/her head gear is compromised

    from its safe & correct position (the affected fighter should immediately

    raise his/her hand to gain the ring referees assistance.) *Continue to fight

    only with the ring referees FIGHT signal. (b)

    NOTE: The Ring Referee has every right to call for a DISQUALIFICATION anytime during the match

    is he deem that Penalty Type (a) was committed by any fighter intentionally with PURE ignorance to

    the Fight Observances.

    2. KUNCIAN, SUBMISSION & GRAPPLING (LOCKING & IMMOBILIZATION RULES &

    REGULATIONS)

    i) A KUNCIAN & LOCKS technique is defined as a physical maneuver of locking the

    opponents limbs(s) and immobilizing him/her.

    NOTE: The maneuver or pressure applied during the execution or when the KUNCIAN &

    LOCKS technique had been applied should not be of an over-exaggerated pressure or force

    with the PURE intention of breaking the opponents joints or limbs as doing so can be

    resulted to an IMMEDIATE disqualification to the executer described in Point 4 xxiii

    ii) It is also defined as a technique that is meant to cause an opponent to submit or

    "tapout."

    iii) A constricting hold applied to the neck in order to restrict blood flow to the brain and/or

    inhibits normal breathing.

    iv) KUNCIAN, LOCKS & SUBMISSION are allowed to be performed from either a standing

    or grounded position.

    v) 30 seconds Rule applies the moment both fighters began to be in a grappling situation.

    NOTE: The ring referee will BREAK the fight at the end of the 30 seconds after which

    both fighters will only continue to fight again with the ring referee command and signal.

    3. SCORING CRITERIA

    i) The 3 Commission Judges who shall evaluate and score the contest at the end of every

    bout from the different locations outside of the match arena. The ring referee may not

    be among the 3 judges.

    ii) The 10-point Must System will be the standard system of scoring at the end of the

    match. Under this system, 10 points must be awarded to the winner of the round and

    less than 10 points to the match, except for a rare even round, which is scored as 10-10.

    iii) Judges shall evaluate Silat techniques such as:

    A- control of the fight in the match arena & effective striking/ effective counter attack

    B- quality of takedown/leg sweeps & attempts on submission/chokes

    C- aggressiveness, power and agility

    iv) Evaluations shall be made in the order of which the techniques appear in PART IV 3iii),

    giving the most weight in scoring to the control of the fight & effective striking/defence,

    followed by quality of takedowns/sweeping and finally to a
