The Fifth Grade Class would like to inspire YOU and share our experiencesabout how we chose to make the world a better place. Through inquiry andresearch, students are becoming knowledgeable in the various ways thathuman beings Share the Planet with positive actions.

● Please come see one of our inspiring performances 8:30 am -9:45 am or1:30 pm - 2:45 pm.
● Our IB transdisciplinary theme is SHARING THE PLANET.
CONCEPTS that guided Fifth Graders into a meaningful inquiry processinclude:
● Rights and responsibilities in the struggle to share finite resourceswith other people and with other living things
● Communities and the relationships within and between them● Access to equal opportunities● Peace and conflict resolution
FIFTH GRADERS are busy:● Researching worthy causes,● Writing action plans,● Learning the intricacies of advertisement and competition, and● Becoming leading advocates for a non-profit organization while
experiencing different ways to make a difference locally, nationally,and internationally as we try to change the world in some way, shape,or form.
MAKING A DIFFERENCE● Some Fifth Graders are collecting tangible donations, while other Fifth
Graders are taking action by choosing to be philanthropic.● Some Fifth Graders are finding creative ways to bring awareness to
their issue or cause, while others are volunteering for theirorganization.
CORBETT PREP: YOU CAN HELP:PLEASE be sure to read all of the project descriptions in the Heads’ Letterinsert to determine if you would be willing to contribute to helping make adifference for others. The student's are totally grateful for any and all levelsof participation. Thank you for your kindness!!

Ministries in Tampa ● Isha Patel representing her own organization, Raksha, raising funds earlier this year to deliver backpacks
and food to impoverished children in India ● Scott Atkinson aligning with Metropolitan Ministries in Tampa ● Zach Dorton is handing care packages to homeless people around Tampa ● Claire Frederick aligning with Traveling Tutus ● Steven Henning aligning with Book and Milkies to provide books to people who have none ● Stephen Janicki aligning with Sole Hope ● Paul Nguyen aligning with Metropolitan Ministries ● Finnian O’Neill aligning with Charity Water ● Nitya Padmanbhan aligning with the North South Foundation ● Jordan Solito representing her own organization, Smarts, Hearts, and the Arts to bring awareness to the
