Salvador SantanaSalvador Santana is a keyboardist, vocalist, composer and songwriter with strong Bay Area roots. Santana is pushed by a need to step out of his comfort zone in a quest for new ideas.

Music truly thrives in his veins. His maternal grandfather was blues pioneer Saunders King and his paternal grandfather was internationally celebrated violinist and mariachi bandleader Jose Santana. And, of course, his father is musi-cal legend Carlos Santana.

Ceci BastidaCeci Bastida was born and raised in Tijuana, Mexico. At 15, she joined Tijuana NO as a lead vocalist, keyboardist and songwriter and became one of the first women to rise in Latin rock. After working with Julieta Venegas for seven years, Bastida made her solo debut in 2008.

Now, Bastida is one of indie music’s rising stars and just released her first full-length solo album, “Veo La Marea” (“I See the Tide”).

In the past year, Bastida has cemented her repu-tation as a Los Angeles club favorite, with her songs featured on some of the most influential programs and remixed by celebrity DJs. Her live shows are beloved for their unique covers of Kanye West, Mike Snow and The Clash.

Bastida was a 2010 Latin Grammy nominee in the category “Best Alternative Song” for “Cuando Vuelvas a Caer.” www.myspace.com/cecibastida

El Conjunto Nueva OlaThis group comprised of lead singer Urbano López, guitarist Luzio Nava, bassist Primitivo Ríos, percussionist Hipólito Madero, El Tacho on timpani and El Raio Manzares on keyboards hails from Mexico City, Mexico.

Their mission is simple: bring flavor and get people to dance to the rhythm of cumbia, mixing new wave, rock and disco sounds into hits from various iconic groups like La Sonora Dinamita to the late Chico Che & Rigo Tovar. In March, the group released its first album with the hit single “Chido, Chido.”

Locos Por JuanaLocos Por Juana is a Grammy and Latin Grammy nominated bilingual Latin Jam-Band, most recognized for its energetic live perfor-mance and unique fusion of Latin, Caribbean and American rhythms.

The band was formed in Miami in 2000, with vocalist Itagui Correa, guitarist Mark Kondrat, drummer Javier Delgado trombonist Lasim Richards and percussionist Carlos Palmet. At

times there are as many as five to seven guest musicians that join the band onstage for shows and tours.

Emanuela Bellezza Emanuela Bellezza’s presence and charisma on stage are fresh a genuine. Singer, pianist, gui-tarist, painter and polyglot, she is an artist that will certainly prevail the test of times and leave an impression on every soul that listens to her.

Born and raised in Italy, Emanuela dreamed of making music since her teenage years in Rome, when she first started writing original songs. With two albums under her belt and a full band backing her up, Bellezza is on the verge of stardom. Her latest album “Matices de Amor” has seven songs in Spanish, two in English and one in Italian, mixing Latin rhythms, catchy melodies and her trademark soulful voice with her Italian roots, creating a new

fresh sound that will captivate the soul of the listener. www.emanuelabellezza.com

El Sonido CallejeroThis band’s roots date back to September 2010, when Dir. Hernandez (accordion, keyboards), Don DiaVlo (drums) and Atin (bass) conceived the idea of a totally energetic and danceable musical project.

The band added the talents of El Sargento Susej (vocals), El Grillo (guitar) and El Matador Garcia (percussion). El Sonido Callejero was born one month later.

The band is charged with Latin rhythms, while rock, cumbia, norteñas and reggae influences, among others, flow through their veins and can be heard in its songs.

ESC is working on its second album which will be released in June 2012.

For years, we at Life Entertainment dreamed of bringing the flavor of Latino Music back to Sacramento. Last year, with our first Fiesta En La Calle summer concert series, we were able to do just that. We are pleased to be back for another great summer of performances from the top names in Latino music.

Thanks to all of you who’ve come out and to those who have spread the word to your family and friends. Now, we can really share what Latino culture and Latino music is all about. Thank you to our friends and sponsors for supporting Life Entertainment and for coming together to make this free event possible.

We look forward to many more years with all of you and, of course, many more fiestas!
